Heart Of Morpeth
In Memorium for Those Who Died At Vtech

IANSA

Who Are IANSA?
Iansa are the International Action Network On Small Arms.

In the light of the tragedy of the young people at Virginia Techinical College, I have decided to reawaken my old campaigning skills. This tragedy brought back for me memories of Hungerford, Monkseaton and most of all the dreadful shootings at Dunblane in 1996. I remember writing to the Government then and joining pressure groups to decrease access to small guns.

My belief now is that because an event like this has happened in America we should not be concerned would be an erronious mistake. Many of the illegal guns which reach our shores are made in America. Indeed it was a Smith and Weston which was used to commit the atrocity in Dunblane.

The lives of young people, both in England and across the globe are very much our responsibility we should not detract from that, guns have the ability to affect everyone and we should all be concerned about the ease in which they are available.

This is Why I am placing information about IANSA on our website.

Please look at the dedication below and whilst you do think about the thousands of other civilian men, women and children
who have lost their lives through the use of firearms.

Remember they are all human beings

Many many thanks to the contributors.

Look on and weep G.W. Bush Their whole future is lost because your guns are too easy to get hold of.

Now not only guns, but also healthcare

"Never has it been clearer how detached President Bush is from the priorities of the American people," Reid said in a statement. "By vetoing a bipartisan bill to renew the successful Children's Health Insurance Program, President Bush is denying health care to millions of low-income kids in America."
